2. Recommendation for Singapore friend on visit to Penang during the ‘durian’ season in May or June for a family of 4 members, which is near to seaside not too far from town.
The most appropriate location of hotel available will be Paradise Sandy Beach Resort at Tanjung Bungah which only a 15 to 20 minutes drive to town. Paradise Sandy Beach Resort is located near the seaside and the accommodation for 4 is rather reasonable with many facilities which are available compare to a budget hotel. The rooms of this hotel are clean and cozy. A double room may cost about RM230 for Deluxe King Suite which actually accommodate 4 persons.
Public transport such as bus and taxi are also easily available. The route to this hotel or vice versa from the town is seldom congested, therefore providing a smooth traffic to commute to each destination. As Tanjung Bungah road is connected to Batu Feringghi which leads to Teluk Bahang and Balik Pulau famous of its ‘durian’ plantation and during ‘durian’ season, supply of ‘durian’ is easily accessible via this route and at the same time most of the roadside stalls will provide an abundant ‘durian’ fruits. ‘Durian’ fruits lovers can even indulge themselves eating the fruits at the stall.
